
Kate Hudson has a talent as an actor. Her most famous role is for her character Penny Lane from the Hollywood film Almost Famous. Her nomination for the Academy Award was her best-known role. She was born into a clan of movie stars and seemed to be born for the limelight. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is an actor with a lot of fame, and her father, Bill Hudson, is a comedian. She performed from an early age. She was taught to dance by her parents and also received ballet classes at the Santa Monica Playhouse as a child. In the year 1996, she received the role of a guest in the TV drama Party of Five. She was accepted to New York University, but Kate Hudson was more interested in seeking a job in show business than obtaining the degree. After appearing in a couple of minor films and commercials, she was offered the role which would become the focus of her career. She was chosen to play Penny Lane in the comedy-drama film Almost Famous. While the film did not do well at the box-office, it was well received by the critics and made Kate an international star in the American film industry.
